Sunday reflection . . . . Just as God speaks to us through the words of scripture,

Just as God speaks to us through the words of scripture,
so God speaks to us through the elements of creation.
The cosmos is like a living sacred text that we can learn
to read and interpret. Just as we prayerfully ponder the
words of the Bible in Christian practice, and as other
traditions study their sacred texts, so we are invited to
listen to the life of creation as an ongoing, living
utterance of God.

Your soul doesn’t care what you do for a living

Your soul doesn’t care what you do for a living
– and when your life is over, neither will you.
Your soul cares only about what you are being
while you are doing whatever you are doing.

#FridayFantasy . . . .He who sups with the devil should have a long spoon.

“Said the Sea Witch, ‘I must be paid, and it is no slight thing that I require for my trouble.
You have the sweetest voice of all the dwellers in the sea, and you think by its means to
charm the Prince; your voice, however, is what I demand as my recompense for
this magic drink…’ “

It is our stories that will recreate us…

“It is our stories that will recreate us, when we are torn, hurt, even destroyed.
It is the storyteller, the dream-maker, the myth-maker, that is our phoenix,
that represents us at our best, and at our most creative.”

~ Doris Lessing

High recognitions . . . .During the first era #4

Time passed and everyone was perfectly happy. Nothing disturbed their receptive capacity, because both parts of the brain were the same size and formed a connection without gaps between body and soul. They were purely intuitive human beings since their intellect was not over-working yet.
The Earth and its immediate finer surroundings were regarded as a single radiant realm where they were allowed to live together with the peoples of nature who reigned there….”

All those who love Nature she loves in return….

“All those who love Nature she loves in return and will richly reward,
not perhaps with the good things, as they are commonly called,
but with the best things of this world-not with money and titles, horses and carriages,
but with bright and happy thoughts, contentment and peace of mind.”
