Blessed is he who has learned…..

“Blessed is he who has learned to admire but not envy,
to follow but not imitate, to praise but not flatter,
and to lead but not manipulate.”

Happy World Book Day

World Book Day also known as World Book and Copyright Day, or International Day of the Book, is an annual event organized by UNESCO to promote reading, publishing and copyright. World Book Day was first celebrated on 23 April 1995, and continues to be recognized on that day.”

In celebration of the ‘written word’ let us feel this deeply stirring quote from Alberto Manguel’s  “At the Mad Hatter’s Table.”:

“Most of the time I simply enjoyed the luxurious sensation of being carried away by the words, and felt, in a very physical sense, that I was actually traveling somewhere wonderfully remote, to a place that I hardly dared glimpse on the secret last page of the book…”

When you are at the your lowest point,

When you are at the your lowest point, you are open to the greatest change.
Strength doesn’t come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming
the things you thought you couldn’t do.

No storm can last forever.

No storm can last forever. It will never rain 365 days consecutively.
Keep in mind that trouble comes to pass, not to stay. Don’t worry!
No storm, not even the one in your life, can last forever.

Call in the light of peace, of love,…..

Do not add thought, word, or deed to a destructive situation. Stand there and pray.
Call in the light of peace, of love, of the Divine. Remember, the more damaging and
destructive a person behaves, the greater is their cry for healing and correction.

Thank God For Dirty Dishes!

Thank God for dirty dishes;
They have a tale to tell.
While others may go hungry,
We’re eating very well
With home, health, and happiness,
I shouldn’t want to fuss;
By the stack of evidence,
God’s been very good to us.
