This is a story that always brings me tears. It shows the AMAZING side of police officers that people usually forget. This officer responded to the Bank of America in California for a disturbance call.
When the officer’s arrived, they found a 92 year old man trying to withdraw money from his account. He was unable to because of an expired ID. Per the banks policy, because his identification card was expired, they were unable to fulfill his request. The gentleman was upset and the police were called.
Officer Robert Josett decided to take this man to the local DMV to help him renew his ID. With the assistance of the DMV, his identification card was renewed and he was taken back to the bank at which time he was able to withdraw money from his account.
This is the side of law enforcement that needs to be shared and talked about. These are kind hearted heroes who took an oath to SERVE and protect. Call out the bad, praise the good.

The May Queen is waiting.
The new earth quickens as you rise.
Feel the pulsing ground call you to journey,
To know the depths of your desire.
The May Queen is waiting.
Moving through the night, the bright moon’s flight.
In green and silver on the plain.
She waits for you to return again.
Do not keep Her waiting.
Her temper stings if you refuse to taste Her honey.
Surrender as enchantment brings
The first light of dawning.
Move with Her in sacred dance, through fear to feeling.
Bringing ecstasy to those who dare.
Living earth is breathing.
Loving through the night in the bright moonlight,
As seedlings open with the rain.
She’ll long for you to return again.
Do not keep Her waiting.”

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

May we raise children
who love the unloved
the dandelion, the
worms and spiderlings.
Children who sense
the rose needs the thorn
and run into rainswept days
the same way they
turn towards sun.
And when they’re grown
and someone has to speak for those
who have no voice
may they draw upon that
those days of
tending tender things
and be the ones.

“On this road called life, you have to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, love what you got, and remember what you had. Always forgive, but never forget, learn from your mistakes, but never forget. People change. Things go wrong. But just remember, the ride goes on.”

The spring is fresh and fearless
And every leaf is new,
The world is brimmed with moonlight,
The lilac brimmed with dew.
Here in the moving shadows
I catch my breath and sing–
My heart is fresh and fearless
And over-brimmed with spring.
