Spider
In mythology, the spider is the weaver of destiny, and deities who foresee the future are
symbolized by spiders. The spider is attributed to The Egyptian creator-goddess Neith.
Neith wove the universe, and the Three dates, who spun, measured, and then cut the
thread of life. The spider is one of the five poisons in China, but it also symbolizes good
luck when it spins down on a thread from heaven. In Japan, they are a symbol of bad luck.
