Mandrake
This plant, with its human shaped roots, has been considered magical
since the time of the ancient Egyptians. When uprooted, it was said
to utter a shriek that killed anyone in earshot, so a dog was used to carry
out the task. Mandrake is a symbol of enhancement, fertility, and prosperity.
